Canoe Ramp at Bamarang
History
In May 2012 Shoalhaven City Council requested comments on a proposed Canoe Ramp in Calymea Creek Bamarang. (see location on Map).
Riverwatch, including Bamarang/Longreach residents, as well as Bundanon supported the canoe ramp.
To ensure safety, Riverwatch requested a 4 knot speed limit in Shoalhaven River 100 metres either side of the Creek and a no boat zone in the Creek to stop wake boats using the ramp for passengers and supplies. Unfortunately this was not support by Maritime.

Current Situation
The canoe ramp is now open to the public. The ramp has survived several floorings.
